Venue: All events, except for the Conference Dinner, are in the Engineering Building A (near its South entrance off Booth Street East)
Wireless Network: Delegates can use eduroam or register for free with the University’s guest network – UoM_Guest (open web browser and follow instructions, you can register with your Google, Facebook or Twitter account, or via a text (SMS) message sent to your phone).
Health and Safety: Please inform us if you may require assistance in the event of an emergency evacuation.
Food: Coffee and biscuits will be available in the morning and afternoon (at circa 10:00 and 15:00). Catered lunches will be provided for the four full days of talks around 12:30-13:30. Breakfast is available at halls of residence and hotels, as well as at other places on or near campus. For dinners, participants will be on their own to explore Manchester’s wide range of restaurants, many of which are easily accessible on foot.
Tours of the National Graphene Institute (NGI) will be arranged in groups on the 10th, 11th and 14th August (at circa 13:25 on 10th, 12:45 on 11th and 13:05 on 14th August – the lists of visitors to NGI and further details will be announced later). Visits to Manchester rotating cryostats in the evening of 10th and 11th August at the end of poster sessions (18:00-18:30) will be arranged too.
The Conference Dinner, sponsored by Oxford Instruments, will take place at 19:00 on Monday 14 August in Whitworth Hall (on Oxford Road near the University’s Main Building, round the corner from the Conference Venue).
